Pizza Dipper FUN!

Birthdays are the best part of childhood because it’s like you’re completely in charge. You get to make all the decisions as long as they’re safe and you get to be as silly as you want. Your favorite items, your favorite gifts, your favorite place, your favorite people and most importantly, your favorite food. The most important things about a birthday party is making sure the food is perfect and the location is perfect because these elements can make your birthday party the best.

Everyone knows every child’s favorite is PIZZA! Some children love their pizzas extra special and some only like the simple cheesy pizza. Pizza is so convenient for parties because it only takes bread, cheese, and pizza sauce and BOOM - you have a pizza recipe. But what if you don’t like pizza slices and you want something similar to mozzarella sticks?

If I could create the perfect birthday party for myself it would be at Fantasy Forest Amusement Park. The carousel is so pretty and the rides there are so fun for children no matter how many times they ride. I love the unlimited ride wristband package because for birthdays you could just keep riding until your party’s over.. Instead of having only pizza, I requested that they serve us mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and the pizza later. But the party host gave me the coolest idea; instead of asking for mozzarella sticks and pizza, why not combine the two to make my dream birthday meal come true. So I looked up a cool recipe and it was called, pizza dippers. Since it was such a simple recipe, I made enough for my party guests! All you need is 8 slices of white bread, remove the crusts, half cups of mini pepperoni, and 4 tablespoons of melted butter and marinara sauce to serve on the side. Using a rolling pin, roll bread into flat, ¼-inch thick squares. Add a large pinch of shredded cheese to bread, then sprinkle with 5-6 pepperoni. Roll up tightly. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, add the roll ups to the skillet, seam side-down. Cook, turning often, until all sides are golden and cheese has melted, about 3 minutes. Wipe the skillet clean and add more butter before adding more roll-ups. Serve with warm marinara sauce. We had about 8 trays of these pizza dippers at special request for an extra fee, but it was so worth it. Try out this great pizza recipe at your birthday party!

Happy National Pizza Day!
